Fourth of July Abroad

Never thought of ever spending the Fourth of July in another country.  But this year our travel plans sent us to England.  Let's just say I did not speak much on this day.  Acquaintances that knew of our country of origin would point out that I was away for our countries birth anniversary.  Just kind of awkward.  Will not repeat next year.
Don't get me wrong, I loved London.  And people were great.  I just got a little homesick for our country.
So glad to be back!

Love & Intention In Everything

Really interesting blog that speaks about putting the love and intention in every action.  Not just going through the motions of everyday life.  For example, wishing the toll booth operators a great day with intention. Wishing a stray dog or a motorcyclist that does not have a helmet on, a safe return to home.  Just those little things we should be turning into "authentic moments".

So fun to be back in ATX

Here with friends at SXSW and love coming home :)
It's a little cold for my liking, but that's why we have a nice outdoor fireplace.

Great to be with friends, even if it's for a short visit.

Ahhh, The Holidays!

Spending my birthday in Dublin.
And doing some Busking :)

And then traveling to Thailand and visiting with the Golden Horse Monastery in Wat Maa Tong.

Staying a couple days after that at Four Seasons Chiang Mai.
So happy and grateful to have this experience.  But it's peaceful being at home :)

What A Very Difficult Week But A Very Happy Month

After a quick trip to NYC, we come back to South Florida to hear the news of Nelson Mandela's passing.
We knew this was coming as word spread when he took ill some months ago, but still I find myself in shock and disbelief that it's happened.
I met with Mr. Mandela back in 2005, on a philanthropic trip to NYC.  We had tea and discussed his Children's Fund and even joked about our favorite BBC show "Keeping up Appearances" (very cool to have that in common).

You can check out his Children's Fund at: http://www.nelsonmandelachildrensfund.com/

A great man is gone, but he lives on thru a legacy and memories of a fun sense of humor.

On another note, it's refreshing what can result from a location.  Such creative juices flow at the ocean.  For all kinds of artwork and music.  Open your ears and you can almost hear the waves touch the shore.

A Little Bit North

Well, we moved a bit north.  It's a little calmer and less hectic for us.  And I found a favorite morning place for coffee and peace.  (I must work on my French)

You have to find your peace where you can.
And enjoy some of what life gives you.
Yummers!

Two Shots of Happy and One of Sad

Happy, because of a recent trip to the doctor's had positive results, and feeling fine.  Happy, because of my latest surprise that came with a professional picture hanger.
Clyde Butcher Photo

My love saw me spending lots of time looking at it in a gallery in Palm Beach.  How lucky am I?

So sad because one of my favorite places is in grave danger with a wildfire closing in.

I love Hailey and Ketchum, Idaho and I pray for our friends and fire fighters who are dealing with this crisis currently.
